RRD BLISS LTE RRD BLISS LTE • Sean Overbeek, one of a select group of kiters to have jumped over 30 meters, recently signed with RRD. We asked him how it’s been joining the team and which of their boards he’s been using.

Workum the Netherlands • Sisters Elsien and Gretha Zijlstra, who both ride for Lieuwe, are firm fans of Big Air and took part in this year’s Big Air Kite League’s Full Power Tarifa and TatajubaFest, Elsien coming a very respectable fifth at the latter. Originally from a professional acrobatic back-ground (yes both of them!), you can see the strong relationship they have in their recent video Insane Synergy. We asked them where they got into kiting and how it is having a sister to share the journey with.

LOVE LETTERS TO KITEBOARDING • What to watch for at King of The Air 2022

THE MISSION ON THIN ICE • When Ben Beholz was invited on a photoshoot to capture Prolimit’s winter collection, he wasn’t going to let meter-thick ice stop him. He embraced the chilly temperatures and got fully immersed in the icy, alpine waters of Lake Silvaplana, Switzerland.

THE CREATORS. DANO SEE & JAIMIE SCOTT • With the recent release of North Kiteboarding’s updated Surf range, we thought it was a good time to meet the designers behind the products. Dano See, who has helped develop the latest Carve kite, joined North last year, bringing with him more than 20 years of experience working in the industry. And Jaimie Scott, surfboard shaper for North, has been applying his experience in board shaping to their latest surfboards, including the Cross and Charge.

QATAR AIRWAYS GKA BIG AIR WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

PARKLIFE • We were stoked to see an international park style event back in the public eye, with the recent Kite Park League’s Team Battle held in Hood River. The event had a different format to previous park events, and we spoke to Noè Font, organizer and competitor, to find out more about the event and what the future holds for park riding…

NO Aloha • In our last issue we heard from Cabrinha about their European demo tour. Keahi de Aboitiz joined them from Hawaii and they then headed to the UK. This was Keahi’s first trip to the sceptered isle so we couldn’t wait to hear what he thought about it. Also on the trip was native hotshot, Hannah Whiteley, who recently signed with Cabrinha and told us how she feels about becoming part of their family.

Vitamin C • This summer Cohan van Dijk headed to Tarifa in his van to train, take part in the Full Power Tarifa Big Air Kite League event and the Qatar Airways GKA Big Air World Championships, and do a video project – check out Vitamin C on YouTube. But as he discovered, the trip wasn’t just about kiting. It was also about the people he met and the friends he made, and it turned out that Tarifa had more than just exhilarating kite sessions in store for him…

ROUTE 101 Northbound • Noè Font and Xander Raith, together with photographer Toby Bromwich, loaded up a pickup truck with all their kiting and camping gear and headed up the Route 101 highway that runs south to north along the US west coast. They scored themselves some memorable sessions – usually having the water to themselves – in an epic...
